Adventures on the East Coast

We have had the most wonderful trip to Boston this weekend. Mom and I left Wednesday evening and took the red eye flight to Boston and arrived about 5:00 am. Todd picked us up and we went to their home and caught about three hours of sleep before we started our day. The boys are so cute and it is so nice to spend some time with Ashley and Todd. Ashley had a bunch of stuff planned for us including a trip to New Hampshire and Maine for some "leaf peeping". The leaves had started to turn but they will be better in a couple of weeks. It was so beautiful. On Friday we visited New Hampshire, spending the night there, and then went to Maine on Saturday. There we went to Freeport, Maine, which is the home of L. L. Bean. We did some shopping, had a great lunch, then headed back to Boston before the boys were so tired that we would have to feed them to the bears. We went to a great park in Boston by the pier on Sunday afternoon after watching conference, then returned home for dinner. Today it rained so we went to a mall up near Wellesley and then went apple picking at this wonderful farm. The boys played at the petting zoo and had a great time, although Ben got his fingers nipped by an Emu that he was trying to feed. He probably won't be doing that again soon. We ended the day with our third evening of hearts. We finally ended up seeing Todd as the loser after being the champion for the first two nights. He wasn't getting worse, we just got a little better. We won't be seeing this family until February or March, so we are really going to miss being around them, but we are so glad we came.
